Strategic technology adviser · Fractional CTO · AI hardening

I work where technology ambition becomes enterprise reality.

I am Sriharsha Udupi — strategic technology adviser, fractional CTO and founder. I work with founders, technology leaders and enterprise teams when AI-era products, platforms and transformation programmes need to become reliable, ownable and production-ready.

Where I operate
~20 years

Experience across engineering, architecture, platform modernisation, transformation leadership and the difficult space where ambitious technology must survive contact with customers, teams and operating reality.

Why AI matters here

AI does not remove the need for judgement. It makes ownership, quality, governance and product discipline more important — especially when the pressure to move fast is at its highest.

How I work

I am most useful where product ambition, technology choices, delivery pressure and operating consequence meet — the point at which clarity is scarce and decisions become expensive.

Judgement map

Where the judgement applies.

The context changes. The question stays the same: can this be trusted, supported and owned when it matters?

Production-readiness is the sharper edge of my current work.

I am developing practical advisory material around production-readiness for AI-era products, platforms and programmes. The thesis is simple: it is easy to start ambitious technology work; it is much harder to make it reliable, ownable and production-ready.

In brief

The work is about making ambitious technology more reliable, ownable and production-ready before decisions become expensive to reverse.

What this site is for

Somewhere to set out what I work on now, and to think in public about production-readiness, architecture judgement and technology change.

Technology work becomes more valuable when it is both ambitious and ownable.

That belief runs through my architecture work, advisory thinking, mentoring and writing.
